As DeSoto's Managing Director of Public Utilities, Isom Cameron oversees all City activities related to water and wastewater service delivery. These include water distribution, water maintenance, wastewater collection, wastewater system maintenance, meter reading, utility billing, and customer service. Isom began his career with the City of DeSoto in 2007 as the Water Superintendent and in 2011 became DeSoto's first Director of Public Utilities. Before coming to DeSoto, Isom spent 15 years with the City of Jackson, Mississippi, where he rose through the ranks from Water Plant Operator to Water Plant Operations Manager. Isom earned his Bachelor of Business Administration Degree from Jackson State University and a Master of Business Administration Degree from the Richard DeVos School of Management at Northwood University.
