Videos Highlighting DeSoto's Unsung Heros

Help Us Recognize DeSoto's Unsung Heroes
Do you know someone who has done something worthy of recognition?  Sergeant Nick Bristow with the DeSoto Police Department would like to hear from you.

Now, in addition to his duties as Public Information Officer for DeSoto PD, he is putting his TV skills as the morning traffic reporter on WFAA to work launching a new segment on DeSoto Cable TV called DeSoto’s Unsung Heroes.

“The story of DeSoto Officer Holder helping his friend, Mrs. Shepherd, with her Thanksgiving shopping that was picked up by the national media, made us realize that there are people in our community doing similar things every day,” said Bristow.  “We want to recognize them.”

Sgt. Nick is asking citizens to nominate someone who is going above and beyond to make a difference in the lives of DeSoto residents.  The nominated person can be a city employee, elected official, community leader or your next door neighbor.  He would like to interview them and tell their story on the DeSoto’s Unsung Heroes program.  To make a nomination call 972.230.9648.  Follow the DeSoto PD on Facebook at
