Minister on Call

DPAC Minister On-Call allows pastors and ministers from various faith groups to volunteer to be “on-call” when a family member, victim or perpetrator requests ministerial counseling.

Ministers are called to provide counseling for:

Family violence situations
Car accidents
Disruptive behavior among adolescents
Accidental or homicide death

All information is confidential

How it Works

After the police restores order, they will ask the victim (i.e. victim of family violence) if they would like ministerial counseling

If they choose to receive ministerial counseling, the officer will provide him or her with a phone number to the minister on-call.  The minister on-call will evaluate the call to determine if there are programs within DPAC or the community that will be of assistance. The minister will also help with referrals.

Call Us

We, the ministerial community, are working hand-in-hand with the police to reach out to the citizens of DeSoto that are open to receiving assistance and ministerial guidance.  The minister on-call can be reached at (469) 658-3090. Leave a message and a minister will return your call within an hour.  The minister on-call is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
