How to Log In with Your Library Card

Apple iOS Devices

  1. Tap the Settings tab at the bottom right of the screen
  2. Tap Accounts
  3. Select your library
  4. Tap and enter your DeSoto Public Library barcode number or your username
  5. Tap and enter your Password
  6. Tap Catalog tab at the bottom left of the screen to start browsing and searching for e-books

Android Devices

  1. Tap Menu on the Upper Left of the screen
  2. Tap Manage Accounts
  3. Tap Accounts
  4. Tap the relevant library you wish to log into
  5. Tap Log In
  6. Enter your DeSoto Public Library barcode number or your username
  7. Enter your Password
  8. Tap Log In
  9. Tap Accounts in the top left corner until you see Settings then tap Catalog to start browsing for e-books

If you encounter problems logging in with your library card number, please tap Report An Issue under the DeSoto Public Library's account screen or call us at 972-230-9661.

Through the Texas State Library, DeSoto Public Library customers have free, unlimited, full text access to online encyclopedias, professional and academic journals, newspapers, magazines, and 68 reputable databases. These databases provide accurate, authoritative, and commercial-free resources.

    • A wide selection of state-specific (and multi-state) legal forms across the most popular legal areas. Includes real estate contracts, wills, pre-marital agreements, bankruptcy, divorce, landlord tenant and many others. 
  • Learning Express Library (Learn-A-Test)
    • Allows you to access a database of practice tests based on the official exams. Some of the practice exams include: GED, ASVAB, SAT, ACT, PSAT, TAKS for some grades, police officer entrance exams, firefighter entrance exams, and real estate license exams.

    Tutor.com     provides homework help, tutoring, test prep, and more. You've got homework. We've got help. Live Homework Help is available for Kindergarten – 12th grade from 2 p.m. to 12 a.m. Students can receive help in math, science, social studies, English, as well as resume writing and job search skills. Students will need their DeSoto Public Library card number.

    To use the database, type in the 14 digit number on the back of your DeSoto Public Library card.
