Education and Training Information
Food Manager Certification and basic Food Handler training is required by ordinance and provided regularly for food service workers. Food Handler cards are good for three years.
Pool School is required as well, and is provided by the City each year before pool season.

Basic Food Handler classes are offered the third Tuesday of every month at 4 p.m. and are held at the DeSoto Civic Center. The cost is $10.
