4th Quarter Update
September 2022

All scheduled events and actions were completed to create an Outreach Program by including space for people to sign up for volunteer efforts. In Q4, the Volunteer Fair was conducted along with full promotion to increase attendance. The event occurred on August 11 and was well represented by City staff, Boards and Commissions, and City Council Members as well as several residents. At this event, attendees learned more about opportunities to become involved in the City, and the many booths and tables set up provided more specific information for each person who visited with representatives were available to answer questions. Staff saw a significant increase in the number of applications available for Boards & Commission member openings in September 2023.

3rd Quarter Update
July 2022 

In Q3, the volunteer website was finalized and went live on the City website on June 24. This website is populated with information regarding volunteer opportunities in the City of DeSoto. The Boards & Commission Volunteer Fair will be held on August 11 in the Bluebonnet Rooms.
