1. How can I commend a City employee?

The Employee Recognition Program was created to applaud City employees who extend the great service that all our customers deserve. We define great service as above-and-beyond the call of duty – service that can be tied to these important attributes: Pride, Accountability, Initiative, Teamwork, Embracing Change, and Outrageous (Unbelievable!) Customer Service. Commendations can be e-mailed to blewis@desototexas.gov or by phone at 972.230.9643.

2. How can I file a claim against the City?

Click on Notice of Claim Form below; complete the form, have it notarized, attach supporting documentation as applicable, then email to Claims@desototexas.gov. Mail or deliver the original to:

Note: The City Charter mandates that a claim must be filed with the City within 180 days of the date of loss. The City is not permitted to accept claims for losses more than 180 days old.

7. What channel broadcasts city council and school board meetings?

Channel 16 for Time Warner Cable subscribers and channel 99 on AT&T Uverse broadcast all city council meetings and planning & zoning meetings live and taped rebroadcasts at 7 p.m. Tapes of school board meetings are broadcast at 7 p.m. on the first and third Thursdays following the Monday meetings.
