Code Enforcement

Code enforcement is a function that local governments perform, and citizens consider important for accomplishing community goals, such as protecting property values and the environment. The role of the Code Enforcement Officer here in the City of DeSoto is integral to the daily operations, and essential to enhancing and maintaining the City of DeSoto’s status as a clean, livable city, and ensuring properties comply with rules set by City Council. Code Officers routinely patrol neighborhoods for code violations and investigates complaints with a mission of abating issues and educating residents.
