The DeSoto Veterans Affairs Committee commits to advocate, educate, and honor the service of community veterans and their families.

Aid and Attendance Program Provides free assistance to qualified veterans and surviving spouses in applying for aid and attendance pension benefits.  Provides online pathway to government benefits; sponsored by DOL.

Code of Support serves as an active case coordinator with a single point of contact to navigate through the multitude of support programs and services available; intended for non-life threatening situations only.

Code of Vets - taking care of our veteran at a time.    This program provides help to veterans in need. They provide homes for homeless vets, as well as food, and clothing. provides comprehensive online information on disability programs and services in communities nationwide; searches can be narrowed to the caregiver audience; sponsored by DOL.

Disabled American Veterans provides help filing for VA disability compensation and benefits.

eBenefits offers a central location for veterans, service members and their families to research, find, access and manage benefits and personal information.

Grow With Google allows Veterans to enter your military occupation code on Google to find your next job

Hire Heroes USA provides dedicated assistance to each veteran from a highly-trained staff member to help them overcome barriers to employment.

Hope for the Warriors Above and Beyond Program explores "next step" options for a civilian or military career, higher education/advanced training, or a small business startup.

Military Holidays  this link provides information holidays and special observances that celebrate the sacrifices of our active duty military and veterans.

Mesothelioma Center's Veterans Department provides assistance to veterans for service-related asbestos exposure.

National Veterans Foundation Resource Center explains the eligibility requirements for various benefits, how to apply for them and how to get more information.

Veterans Benefit Administration provides information needed to begin to file for VA benefits such as compensation, home loans, education, life insurance, pensions, etc.

The National Resource Directory (NRD) is a resource website that connects wounded warriors, Service Members, Veterans, their families, and caregivers to programs and services that support them. The NRD is hosted, managed, maintained, sustained and developed by the Defense Health Agency's Recovery Coordination Program.
